| | "Star Trek"? Or "Star Trek-----The Next Generation"? | | Which of the Star Trek series do you find the most entertaining?I personally like the original Star Trek,
maybe it is because it was the first one that I have seen. They say that old habits die hard and I will always prefer the original Star Trek.

| Do/Will you play Star Trek Online? | | I was a bit surprised that there are no discussions yet about this new game.I am a huge fan of Star Trek since Star Trek - The Next Generation and I could hardly wait for this game to be published. I was part of the beta and have bought this game with a lifetime subscribtion membership.
I think it is not as good as LOTRO or World of Warcraft yet but it has potential.Anyway, do you play it? Why or why not? Or don't you like Star Trek at all?

| Did you like the new Star trek movie? | | I used to watch Star Trek: The Next Generation (TV series). I have also watched a few movies of Star Trek. I loved watching them. Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes Brent Spiner and other actors were amazing and looked professional on screen.
On the other hand the new Star Trek movie seemed like 'teen movie' actors made to act in Star Trek movie. I expected a lot more suspense, mystery and action but was left disappointed.[em]sad[/em]
What are your views on the new movie and the movie in comparison with the TV series.
| | Another Movie Review - Are you Going to Go See the New Star Trek Movie? | | Hello all,I personally have ALWAYS loved Star Trek the Next Generation, but not any other series, such as these new ones with wacky actors and unusual people (:)), but the movie looks good. It just so happens to be my father's birthday this Saturday, so we might take him out to go see it...I've always enjoyed watching Picard, Riker, and Data solve each episode's problems, but this movie seems like a classy new chapter in the Star Trek history log. Are you going to go see it? If so, who would you bring with you? Express your thoughts and views here.-Fresh Writing | |

| naming your cat | | I have always enjoyed the company of cats. We had plenty of them when I lived on a farm as a child and I always had at least one around even after we left the farm. We had cats of every kind and always came up with names that seemed to fit their personality. As I grew up I became particularly fond of science fiction and Star Trek especially. When I started naming the cats for my own household I would use characters from Star Trek for their names. My last cat was named Spot and there is a funny story behind that. One of the characters on Star Trek the next generation is an android called Data. Now Data has always aspired to be human so he is constantly experimenting with things that he hopes will make him more like humans. He has observed that his human shipmates seem to require pets to make them happy. So he has decided that he will get a pet as well. After researching it he decides that a cat would be the best pet for him so he gets a yellow stripped one which he names Spot. When he was asked why he chose that name for this cat, who had no spots, he said he had accessed his database for appropriate names for a pet and found that spot was used most often. I don't think... | |
| | Star Trek | | Everyone remembers the original Star Trek. I know my mother loved it. She has seen every episode and movie. She even continued to watch it when Star Trek the next generation came out. Well just the other day I saw a trailer for Star Trek. Yep the original Star Trek with a new crew. The character who plays Spock is the same character as Sylis from Heroes. How many of you star trek fans are going to go see this movie?? I'd be interested to see how it turns out. | |

| Do you like Scifi? | | Now i love Science fiction...ive loved it for many years. im sure that i was exposed to it sometime when i was a child and just simply don't remember it. my earliest memory of watching science fiction is watching Star Trek: The Motion Picture. My uncle had let me borrow it one time and then i ended up borrowing and eventually buying the entire movie series up to the point that it was out at the time...it was only up to Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Now i have the complete movie collection lest the new one coming out next year of course. i also have almost the complete series of Star Trek: The Next Generation and bits and pieces of the other series with exception of the classic series. I now also have the complete Stargate SG1 series and the new movie that had come out and the first season of Stargate Atlantis and and a bunch of oddball series that i found i liked. and as soon as i get the money too im going to start buying again, finishing the current collections and start new ones.
so do you like Science Fiction? if you do, why do you like it and what got you interested in it in the first place? also what is your favorite scifi series or movie that you just cant get...
| | Have you seen The Wizard? | | On September 9th 1986, a fantastic program appeared on CBS . Produced by 20th Century Fox, it starred David Rappaport (Randall from Time Bandits), Doug Barr (Howie from Fall Guy) and the wonderful character actress, Fran Ryan. It was called "The Wizard." The show was about a man, Simon McKay, who had once worked for the Pentagon until, as he said "the Pentagon had five sides and I found myself against all of them" so he left and after being in hiding for six years emerged as a toy maker. He could do almost anything! Sort of a high tech MacGyver who usually solved problems by using the toys he'd invented in new and ingenious ways. The first episode introduced the character and his bodyguard, Alex Jagger, played by Doug Barr. It also starred Cheryl (Gates) McFadden who went on to play "Beverly Crusher" on Star Trek the Next Generation. The three of them teamed up to find the brother of a child who desperately needed a bone marrow transplant but his brother was the only match and he was missing in the wilds of South America. Using technology, imagination and a bit of " natural magic" they managed to locate the brother and get him back in time to save the child.... | |
